On a foggy and distressing day at my home, my aunt was hit by a parade float, and she is currently in the hospital. While she will be fine, my mom isn't taking it well. I hear her mumbling in the kitchen about a cartridge of some sort, specifically a Nintendo 64 cartridge. Deciding to distract myself, I opted to play some board games all alone because I am creative like that.
I spent an hour board gaming and noticed my mom was leaving. I didn't know where, nor did I care; I just wanted that cartridge. I went to Mom's room and searched around, finding her stash of cheap Mario collectibles, which perplexed me. Why not sell them? I noticed the game cartridge and took it. I booked it to the living room and pulled out the Nintendo 64, which hadn't been used in a few months after that Mario Party session where we had cheese sticks, and Dad got too competitive.
The game booted up, and to my surprise, it was Super Mario 64! I played a bit and knew that there was a secret, so I looked in the sky. Nothing happened. I turned left and went to Bob-omb Battlefield or whatever it was called and played a little. When I went into the painting, the house felt still, and I realized my brother wasn't shouting at his game. Only 5 yet turning out like Dad. I made it to the top of the hill and saw King Bob-omb standing there, and he turned around. It was my brother's face. My heart dropped, and I felt queasy, and the room's light turned off except for the game. I closed my eyes, hearing the sound of King Bob-omb speaking, but I couldn't open my eyes until I heard the television get turned off. I opened my eyes, looked around in the darkness, noticing that the door to my little brother's room was open and the light on. There was something in the way. A ball. No. A bomb.
I realized something had to be in there, and I had to get in, so I ran into the bomb, and it exploded. Dust filled the room as the dark light from outside gleamed in, showing the face of King Bob-omb, who was still alive even though they just exploded. I started hearing my brother's cries from the king in reverse and started to feel true fear as tears started to streak down my cheeks. Where was he? I saw light shining from his room and realized the light wasn't on. Something inside glowed. I think it was a Super Star. I ran to the right, which was the left of the figure, and it didn't stop me. I went into my brother's room, seeing the star which had my brother's face or a picture of it as its own face. I went to grasp the star, but it went to black. I can't see anything.
My brother. What happened. Where are you. I still ponder as I can't remember what happened that day. All I remember was playing a game in my room and it all went to black.
